Unbroken Focus: Becoming Mentally and Spiritually Immune to Distractions
In this book, we will discuss how to develop a level of focus that is indestructible. To develop unbroken focus, we must become spiritually and mentally immune to distractions. We will all be presented with various distractions; the key is how we respond to them. The enemy is after your focus, and he’s looking to capture your attention by presenting you with things you have an appetite for.
Your focus consists of three major components: Attraction, attention, and activity. The enemy will use your attractions to captivate your attention, and whatever has your attention will eventually influence your activity. 1 Peter 5:8–9 tells us, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” We must become mentally, spiritually, and emotionally sober to sustain an unbroken focus.
A sober mind and spirit are free from intoxicating influences, and that’s not just exclusive to alcoholic influences. Conversations, social media, family, and friends can intoxicate our minds, spirits, and emotions. For the next eight days, we will develop the mental and spiritual fortitude to block every distraction sent to disrupt our focus.
